Fantastic baked goods for unbelievable prices! The owner and staff are all super friendly and will help you out with any questions. Definitely check it out! There's more to this gem than the outside would lead you to believe!
This old world bakery will not disappoint. Upon entering I was greeted with gorgeous colors , smells and smiles. The pastries are delicious and the choices are infinite. I highly recommend seeing for yourself.
This is a lovely and DELICIOUS Mexican bakery. My dad and I went in to buy a bunch of different pastries for my mom's birthday. They have a wide selection of treats. The gentleman that helped us was very kind and gave us both a concha to try. It was still warm from the oven and amazing. There are several panaderia's to try on this stretch of Western Ave. I hope to try them all but I will always come back to La Central. Muchas Gracias!
Absolutely one of the best bakeries we have been to. The owner is such a wonderful and friendly man who has a gift for baking. If you’re in the area, you have to stop. Not only the best danishes but wow, those rolls!! Can’t wait to go back!

Wow, I just discovered The #1 Mexican Bakery of Michiana! Don't let the unassuming store front fool you, this family owned bakery has been putting out a wide selection of fresh breads and sweets for 26 years. I frequent bakeries like this and I'm rating this one #1 in the area. Come early and you may be able to snag items still on the cooling trays in the back room while they are busy preparing the next items for the oven.
I do television at wnit in South Bend once a month and I go from Michigan City to South Bend through Western Avenue and I passed by this bakery many times ...I grew up on the East Coast where there are bakeries everywhere.. not here anymore😰 except for... Le Central Panaderia.... Western Avenue had High hopes and then after the pandemic many stores have closed ...but this bakery is one of a kind that you MUST visit 🙋...the offerings there are fabulous & the baker is working diligently 7 days a week, and he is very kind 👍 Do yourself a favor.... stop in & don't let the area stop you from participating in a great place and great bakery with items made fresh on the premises ...Happy New Year🙋⭐💖
I recently hosted a gathering at my church. And i ordered 60 conchas. They were an absolute hit with the congregation. The sweet breads were warm and delicious, and they were presented on a really nice sturdy cardboard tray in plastic wrap to keep fresh. I'll most assuredly be placing more orders in the future! The staff is warm and friendly. Even threw in extra!
